China has just released its Automotive Industry Steady Growth Plan (2025–2026), outlining ambitious targets and detailed measures to sustain momentum in the world’s largest car market.

🔹 Key 2025 Targets

• Total vehicle sales: ~32.3 million units (+3% YoY)
• NEV (New Energy Vehicles) sales: ~15.5 million units (+20% YoY)
• Auto exports: steady growth
• Manufacturing added value: +6% YoY

🔹 2026 Outlook

• Stable and positive industry trajectory
• Stronger industrial scale, quality, and efficiency gains

🔹 Policy Priorities

1. Expand domestic consumption
2. Enhance supply quality
3. Optimize development environment
4. Deepen openness and global cooperation

✅ The plan introduces 15 key initiatives, including accelerating NEV market expansion, boosting auto consumption, and advancing intelligent connected vehicle technologies.

✅ To ensure execution, it also adds 3 safeguard measures
– better coordination, stronger monitoring, and talent development
– with over 60 detailed actions.
